Project Girlhood

Wellbeing & SelfAges 14+ (guidance)

£35 per session · members £30

The Project Girlhood poster: a blue collage silhouette of a face with red lips and flowers, over a yellow field, with the words unfiltering, deconstructing and reclaiming wild, authentic girlhood

A monthly sanctuary for girls aged 14-17, created as a gentle counterculture to the pressures of beauty standards, social media and the need to constantly perform. Each session pairs an honest look at a cultural myth, from body image and the "perfect body" to digital filters and fast fashion, with a hands-on, analog workshop, from henna and herbal alchemy to analogue photography and natural dye-making. Across the year the group builds a genuine sisterhood, moving through themes of health and connection in autumn, rest and inner values in winter, and confidence and voice in spring, before closing the year together at a summer festival celebration. Sessions are led by Katelyn and a wonderful collection of female guest speakers. Always end with a gratitude circle, a steady, phone-free space for girls to be exactly who they are.
